I am wondering if it is possible to have a keynote with 2 leaders on it.  What I am trying to do is put a note on an elevation that is referencing a certain area as being removed.  I would like to put a note in that area that has 2 leaders on it, one going out and up from on side and one going out and down from the other side.  Is this possible or not.

Thanks

I do not believe it is possible to add another leader to the keynote. What i do is just draw a line from the keynote to what or where ever I want it. I know that sounds archaic. But, it works. HTH

You should be able to click on the keynote and click the add leader button twice to get two leaders.

MrBob,

Where is this add leader button?  What I do is add the keynote, then detach the leader end and if I check and uncheck the leader button for the keynote, the leader just goes away and then comes back.

Thanks

I am using version 8.1.   When I add a keynote it gives me the option (in the option bar) to tell it how many leaders to add before I click it into the drawing.  After I put it in the drawing, I can click on it  and in the options bar are the add a leader and remove leader buttons.  Are you using keynotes or tags?

In Revit 9.1 the key note symbols act just like the tag symbols. That is something that they changed in the upgrade.

Keynotes were not available in Revit 8.1

MrBob is likely confusing Note Blocks with Keynotes.  Note Blocks are annotation symbols that can get scheduled in a Note Block schedule.  These are annotation symbols and can have multiple leaders added to them.

Keynotes in Revit 9.0/9.1 are based on a .txt file that holds keynote values tied into elements/materials or user fields. The keynote symbol can only have one leader or no leader.
