On a similar vein as the previous question, is it possible to map an aerial image onto a topographical surface (one with variation, not flat)? I can do this in GIS programs, but have not been successful in many of the 3-D programs, because they often do not know how to translate depth information from a raster image onto planar surfaces, and have not figured out a way to import a topo surface with the mapping attached. This is a very nice technique for giving realism to a topographic surface, and would be wonderful to have in Revit.

Hmm, If you only want it to display when rendered (as this is the only way i can think of doing it) you may be able to setup a accurender material using the image as a map, then scale to the appropriate size and set this as your topographical material.

I was able to bring an aerial image in and apply it to a surface as a material, but it is applied as the mirror image of what I need.  Is there any ideas on how to mirror it back to normal?
