Is it possible to mirror an entire plan with all other model and annotation objects?

I've just done that with a project & it's not fun. REVIT does not mirror like you would expect and sometimes things get lost. If you are mirroring a whole project, be aware that all of the detailing will NOT be mirrored. Only the items you have selected. What I did - - From my roof plan, with everything on in all the VG settings, and with the VP set so that I was cutting high enough and my depth deep enough so that I saw everything, I mirrored everything including section and detail areas with copy on. Results : - Seems like most of it was there but of course all of my column numbers were new. - None of my sections or details had any 2d items in them. I opened up each original section/detail, copied the 2d stuff to my clip board then pasted and mirrored it back into my new detail/section. Big pain! May have been better to mirror everything, then just flip my section direction so that my 2d still worked.

I agree it is not pretty. What I do is add a reference line to use as a mirror center. I select everything in 3d and the switch back to plan view to mirror. After that I start going sheet by sheet. Section can be flipped and mostly you can just move or mirror items to the new location. Any thing that got missed you can use the reference line to mirror again.

Whoa... you mean you didn't read your HELP? Things have changed since I posted in 2007. From the HELP:
Mirroring a Project
Mirroring a project allows you to mirror (reflect the placement and shape of) all elements in a project around an axis you select (North - South, East - West, Northeast - Southwest, or Northwest - Southeast). When you mirror a project, model elements, all views, and annotations are mirrored. Orientation of annotations is preserved when necessary, for example text does not mirror in order to retain readability.

The question of mirroring to me only brings out where to annotate... i.e.- if you create a building file which is the source, then create a campus plan, link the source building into the campus plan, place it where you want, then just mirror the link, it creates a new instance, but both stay live from the source file. But do you annotate in the building's file, or in the campus plan? My gut leads me to the campus plan, this way the source file isn't bogged down with annotations, and also because this allows you to adjust the annotations' location, whereas if it was in the building's file, you'd have to open the building file, move the annotation, then verify that it moved to a location acceptable in the source, and the mirror...
Of course, also from your post, you could be just asking for a true, I have this plan, and now I want to mirror the whole building... Which is what wwhub answered for you.

when you are using structure, a lot of stuff mirrors really funny especially beams where they have been set with the side 1 or side 2 feature opposed to center.
