I am having an issue modifying roof geometry to meet my the design requirements in a residential project.

The issue is the roof over the garage where I have a hip roof structure trying to align with a front facing gable roof structure. The problem is that the hip roof is 3'-0" below the gable roof.

(see attachment for clarification)

I can get the right facing hip slope to align with the right facing gable slope, but as you can see, the hip extend out beyond the garage door wall too far. I wan't the right slope of the hip to terminate at the right gable fascia.

Any help would greatly be appreciated, Thanks.

 I was able to complete the roof geometry by creating each roof slope individually.

good you found it but I still would like to add a hint. If you run into something like that again use a reference plane.
