i'm trying to find out if anyone has been successful with creating a wall fill pattern that will show studs and insulation in plan. anyone? thanks! ~sarah

You could create an arrayed stud and insulation run family and link that to your walls. Dont know how to build that into the wall family though, I have only seem seperate families aligned.. dont know if this would work in nested families but you could give it a try.

 

I know that we saw a webinar from CVIS about stud run families and this type of stuff but I cant seem to find it at the moment. If you want you can look here http://cvis.com/events/EventsSchedule.htm#Archives

So, it's been a while since I posted that question initially...  From what I've come to understand, you definitely can program into the wall style detail components that appear like studs.  However, it will take up a lot of memory and space in your model, and it's not reccomended.  I've resigned myself to drawing in the studs in plan details rather than showing them in the wall style.  Once I became much more proficient with drafting in Revit, I really prefer this method.
