Dumb beginner question. I have the profile family loaded but when I try to place the trim (either in plan or elevation) "nothing" happens, i.e.: no edit line, placement line etc. How is this done?

the best way to place a wall sweep is in a 3d view. After it has been placed you can add to it in plan and elevation.
