I My objective is to view my roof plan on my second level so that I can draw overhead lines at the roof's edge. I went to the properties of my second level and turned on "underlay" to indicate my roof plan. Nothing shows up and YES I did verify that my roof is indeed on in my visibility settings. What am I missing? Ohhh, and is there a way once I figure this out, that I can associate those overhead lines to the roofs edge so that IF my roof does change at all that these lines will move with the overhang? Thanks everybody!

There are a number of ways to accomplish what you need depending on the purpose of your roof outline. It may be easier to go to roof plan and using either detail or model lines (depending on how view specific you want this boundary to be), select the roof edge and lock it as you create it. This will allow it to move with your roof edge as you make modifications. If you only want the lines to show up in one view, then use detail lines, then cut and paste aligned your new boundary in the second level or wherever you need it.
