I was pulling my hair out trying to figure out why shear plate detail component provided with revit structure 4.0 would not work... It has a parameter of "number of bolts" but when you changed it, it did not change the number of bolt holes. Also it was not an instance parameter and needs to be if you are going to have more than one in a given detail. Anyway after a little effort I was finally able to make it work as it was intended... and thought I would share it with anyone needed the correct version...
