you can export a 3d view from revit to an acad file, then import it in MAX! materials will be an issue though.

like ALutfy you can import by exporting a cad file. in 3dmax you will get a screen saying something about ObjectDBX, this means you can't import the materials...model is fine... Does anybody know how to solve the ObjectDBX/Material issue

actually i woud'nt import the autocad file I would link the file in case you need to make big changes to the revit model at a later date. Also I don't know about max but in viz you want to make sure you check keep scene material when reloading your revit model or all the materials you applied will be lost and you'll have to do it again.

Depends on your version. later versions support materials just fine. Export to dwg while in 3d view. Open up Max/Viz, hit File>File Link Manager.

My revit version is 9.1 and 3d studio max 8 see attachment for error warning object DXB. The model has the same colors as in revit, but there are no materials connected to it.

Your materials should import into Max just fine. I think it was since 7.5 it imported materials. Are you saying that all your materials don't show up? Have you rendered in Revit just to see if the materials are really there first? I don't know much about object enablers, but from your screen shot you should check out the autodesk site for that. You have something missing somewhere. If you are missing materials on your walls, maybe post a small revit file with some walls that have the material problem and I can take a look at it for you.
