Hi

I need a little guidance in creating Families, where I want to use some old dwg files to speed up the process. I’m using Revit 9.1

Ok here is an example of what I would like to be able to do!

I want to create Revit Title Blocks.

In doing this I have opened a standard Revit Title Block Family from the Library.

To speed up the process I would like to insert my old AutoCAD title block. Draw over it, and then remove the DWG file from the family.

From my understanding of Revit, it is a good idea to bring the dwg file in as a “link” and this makes it easier to remove, (ie through link manager).

The problem is,

When you are creating a family, Revit allows you to bring in a dwg file, but not as a “linked” file.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Brian :-)
