I have really basic knowledge of Revit. I have not knowledge or rendering, applying textures and animating.

I'm thinking of doing a competetion for TSA:

Computer-Aided Design Animation, Architecture Participants are given a hard copy sketch from which to develop an animated technical drawing using computer-aided design tools.

Applicants must save files as avi or mov and then burn them to a cd or dvd and turn them in

So, can anyone give me tutorials or tips for where to start? I have to learn how to animate & render in 3 weeks.

I would start with the walkthrough tutorials in the help section and hurry up. I hope you got nothing else planned to do.

Revit cannot do animation such as walking people through the security check-point or running bags through the x-ray equipment.  You could model the equipment and surrounding check-point area and do a 'walk-through' where the camera moves past the equipment but the equipment and the scene remain static elements.
Animation can be accomplished in 3D Studio Max and other Autodesk and non-Autodesk products.  However the learning curve for animation is steeper than that of Revit and takes years in some cases to master.
