I work for a historic preservation architecture firm and we are currently working on a building that is going to be gutted out and redone inside and have an addition added onto part of it as well.  I drew the building and currently, everything is the existing phase, but I changed the existing phase to look like the new construction phase so it wasn't all grayed out.  So, here is my dilemma.  We have a selective removal phase that is like the demo phase.  So, I want to demo almost all the walls and doors on the inside of the building and have it in the selective removal phase.  I went into the phases and created a selective removal phase and set the phase filter to show demo and temporary for when we put up temporary walls.  So, when I go to demo a wall, the wall is currently in the existing phase and I demo it and it doesn't change.  How do I get so I am working in the selective removal phase when I demo things?  What I am trying to achieve is being able to go back and forth between what the building originally looked like(existing) and what it looks like after selective removal and then later adding a new construction phase back in.

Hopefully someone knows what I am trying to do here.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Demo is an implied activity between new phases.  When you demolish an item in phase 2 you see the demolition by setting a view to phase 3 and the phase filter to show previous plus demo.  The key is the phase filter and understanding how the phase filter graphic over-rides work.

If you have multiple demolition phases that need to occur, then you may need multiple phases of new work.
