Hi,

Can anyone tell me if you can change the shape, other than a rectangle or sqaure, of a crop region? For all those ex-AutoCAD users, a bit like the polyline view port feature. Some of the guys use white filled regions to block out unwanted sections but I feel this is asking for trouble. Thanks

Only rectangular crop regions available.  This has been a wish list item for many years.  White filled regions are the work around.

Hi Guys,

these comments were posted 5 years ago - anyone know if subsequent versions have included this feature, and if so how to utilise it? thanks in advance...

I'm using Revit Arch 2012 and have the same issue. Is the masking region still the way to go?

I rarely use masking regions.  I prefer to use the linework tool and the edit cut profile tool.

Can you please expand on this technique? One downfall I always hate about the masking region is that it doesn't cover up annotations, dimensions, grid lines, etc.

Why would you want to cover up an annotation?  If you don't want to see it, don't place it.

Bothcut profile an linework tool are very well documented with visual examples in your HELP.
