Perhaps someone could help with my rendering.  You see, my solid extrutions on the exterior walls which are a darker color stucco than the main color of the building will not render.  Is this something that Revit cannot do or am I just missing something in the settings?  Thanks for any input.

You have to define it's material under the "sweep properties" menu while in the edit mode. You may want to create a subcatagory if your extrusion has more than one element. If it's just an accent stucco color from the field stucco, copy the field stucco material and edit it's color and use that to define the extrusions material.

O.K. that sound simple except how do I access the "Sweep Properties" menu when it was just a solid extrution at a certain "thickness"?  I have the correct material applied to the object in the edit mode but it still won't render.  Is it because I created a "create in place family"?

You will have to edit the in-place family and and select your sweep.  Then go to the Properties Diaglog box and change the material in there.  If there are multiple sweeps (or any modeling geometry) those will have to be changed as well. You can add a parameter so that you do not have to edit the sweep everytime as well.
