Hi guys. Just wanted to introduce myself. I work for a firm in Orlando and just started my first real revit projects mid last week. I am currently assisting my team by creating famlies for our custom exterior eleveation elements. I am really enjoying all of the new toys while frustrated with some of the quirks that come from the cad revit switch. On Thursday I was the proud father of my first from scratch parametric family, boy was that exciting!

When I started using Revit I had some problems with the families. I found an excelent video tutorial on how the family structure works at http://cdvsystems.com/zencart125/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=4&zenid=a7d2471cde756bae8ecbec7e229e995c. Its $30 but worth it in time saved. Good luck.
