I am trying to revise a profile that I made.  All I did was add onto the existing profile but get his message when I load it back into the model  "Profile type 'Cornice:Cornice' contains no loops."  What does this mean and how do I fix it?

hey bob, I think what it means is that your profile isn't a closed loop. i think for sweeps Revit needs it to be closed completely. You could have just a teeny tiny hole somewhere, or an extra line that's hard to see. also it can ONLY be a closed loop, meaning if you added onto it, and you have an extra line in the middle of your profile, just delete it.

basically what you need is a line that you can make in one step with the chain command on. if it takes 2, then it won't work

A good way to check if your chain of lines is closed is to select the chain using tab, and look for any closed cicular grips at line ends. If you only have hollow grips, then you know your loop is closed, but if you see a solid one, that's where your gap is.

I know this is a late response, but it might be helpful for others with a similar problem. Cheers.
