Does anyone know how to link the text parameter to the text file, for example the assembly code when you click it will open the menu, how can i create things like that because i need have several code in one type.*example like a beam i need to give a code to volume and length i just want to select from the list exactly like assembly code but this one under instant parameter*

There are a couple of possibilites to explore:

1.  Schedule Keys provide the database function of a 'lookup' table.  The Revit help file has some more information on setting these up.

2.  If there is a constant value for a given item, then explore setting up a 'type catalog' to use with the family.  When you load a steel beam shape in Revit for example the grid that appears for you to choose a size from is the 'type catalog'.

In both cases you may have to set up a 'shared parameter' to hold the value you are after.
