Do models have to be linked in order to use Detail views from one model in another? If not, how do you share details?

You can use: File>Insert from file>Views to bring in drafting views from other projects. Many firms set up specific Revit projects that hold their standard details and then simply insert them into the active project this way.

thanks for the info. I was thinking more of detail views but revit does not bring those in.
