I am trying to have revit do the ocuppant Load, egrees width, and the number of doors required. automaticly and having trouble with revit not able to round up correctly. Anybody solve this.

There is no rounding fuunction in Revit similar to Excel's roundup() which takes any fraction of a number and rounds to the next highest integer.

The best you can do is add .5 SF or .5 units to a calculated value and define the calculated value as an integer.  This means that 8.15 will become 8.65 which Revit will round to 9.  8.55 will become 9.05 which will also round to 9.

Be careful though where you apply the rounding as just like in Excel you might get un-intended results.

That is what we did but as you said we got 7 when we wanted 6 from 5.11. Background we have areas of diffent spaces adding up. What we have discovered is that it adds the .5 to all three spaces in the schedule round up not jus the total.

You are correct.  You cannot round just the grand total so this is why I don't round in Revit until you can round just the specific sub-total or total you want.
