For our Revit project I am saving 3D slices to AutoCAD for the MEP team to use with ABS. When I export the Reflected Ceiling plan I see the surface pattern of the 2x2 ACT grids but when I export a 3D view I get no surface pattern, no grid. One curious thing I noticed is that the plan view translation follows the export layer settings but the 3D translation seems to place 3D before the layer name. Ex. Instead of A-WALL the 3D translation is 3D-WALL. It makes me think there is a 3D translation table that I can’t seem to find that maybe doesn't have the surface pattern defined to a layer. anyone provide any insight?

well I'm replying to my own post, can't be done. after working it out with Autodesk support the 3D solids in AutoCAD will not retain any of the information from Revit
|
