Hi Folks,

Is it possible to create a curtain grid with more then one horizontal fixed spacing dimension?  For example, I have a curtain wall system that contains two different sizes of panel running horizontally - one large vision glass panel and one smaller metal panel (see attached image).

Any insight would be much appreciated...

Chaim

You cannot define an automatic curtain grid definition for multiple horizontal spacings.

You can however define an exterior curtain wall style with no automatic definition and then simply add your curtain grids as required.  You could also define the major horizontal spacing and add the required curtain grids manually.

thanks for the quick reply.  that's what I was afraid of...I guess I'll just drop in the other grid lines "manually."

A more advanced option is to create a new custom curtain panel that has the horizontal mullion you need for the secondary horizontal spacing built into the curtain panel definition.

This may not get you the two material types required though for the panels, but you coul play with it to see what is possible.

For some ideas see the Revit content on the Revit website.  See familes>curtain panels.

Thanks again...I was actually playing with that idea..."hanging" the second panel system off of the initial grid system.  I'll post my results if I can get it to work...
