Hi... So heres my issue... In visibilty Graphics you can uncheck the "Wall Sweep" or override its line color. But why does this not apply to the sweeps that are addes to walls. I have a wall that I created with a brick rowlock at 42". The lines are showing as the same as the Wall. I cannot turn them off or override them. Why is this? and is there any way to turn on the sustrate (gyp board ) lines as well. I have overridden the Cut Styles already, but it would be nice if in certain veiws they didnt show. It just seems like a gliche that the sweeps dont apply to the "VG"rules if its part of that walls properties. If anyone has any advice I would love it! Thanks

You are correct in saying there is no way of controlling the lineweights or visibility of embedded wall sweeps... Its been a wishlist item for sometime. The only control you really have is between coarse and medium detail levels...

Well thats just plain stupid! Its a sweep! Why dont these Revit guys fix this kinda stuff! We're on version 9.1! You'd think theyd fix that kinda silly stuff by now!. The dumb lines come in looking just like lines on walls that are cut even though the sweep is not being cut. Lamelamelame! Thanks for letting me know that its impossible to fix so I'll stop messing with it!

Go to The Properties, then under Identity Data Select Wall Sweeps - Trim. Now you should be able to hide them by visibility Graphics.

Question: Is it correct to place Wall Sweeps like baseboards and crown moldings on the Subcategory of Analytical Models?? If the answer is yes, I may have another solution for this Visibility problem: click on the element you want to see, go to "Element Properties", "Edit/New", on "Subcategory of Walls" pick "Analytical Model". Problem: since "Analytical Models" (structural items in general) are not visible on std views, you'll have to turn them ON whenever view you want to see them (type "View Properties", "Visibility Graphics Override", "Model Categories", "Walls", check "Analytical Models". You can create a View Template from the view you fixed (with the "Wall Analytical Model" on) and select the option to apply it to any new view you create from there.
