I have seen the question posted before but no respionces and it would help me greatly. Is it possible to control the line wieght of an underlay. I want to be able to tag something in the underlay and then turn the layers to white so that I am in essence tagging something that you can not see.

What you're suggesting is not possible as far as I know, but I may be able to offer a different work around using a plan region: Create a plan region around the item you wish to tag. Set the appropriate view depth in the region properties so that the item become visible and tag it. Reduce the size of the region to as small as to be nearly invisible and/or move the region out of the field of view; the tag should remain in place. Hope this helps.

This may be helpful: if you are creating a framing plan, electrical plan etc: create a copy of the floor plan you are working on, then go to veiw properties and overide the lineweight of walls, doors, windows, whatever with an appropriate color (gray, any intensity you like) and lineweight or linetype of your choosing. I find that actually printing underalys is confusing for contractors etc to see multiple levels on the same plan. I can't find a way to change the display of underlays
