Does anyone know of any possible way to convert a 3ds max 3d model into a file that can be dropped into Revit?  Thanks!

i think you will have to covert the 3ds to dwg or 3ds to dxf and then to dwg

but you will have import/link the file in or create mass and them import/link the file in

i don't think you will be able to drag and drop the file into revit.

just a warning when you do, if your model has a high poly count, you might notice some considerable slowdown. you should try multires on your model before exporting it to reduce the polys to something you can live with.

this is one thing revit needs to improve on greatly is viewing of models with higher poly counts
