Is there any way to use the spell-check feature with note blocks? We are considering using note blocks to generate the sheet notes on our sheets and it would be very helpful if we could check the spelling in them. Thank you.

You can export the schedule as a .txt file into MS Word. Then, save the text file as a word document and notice that a red line appears under misspelled words. Double left-click on the underlined words and change the font color to red. Then, double left-click on all subsequently misspelled words (one at a time) and press F4 (to repeat the font color change formatting). Run the spell checker and all of the misspelled words, now in red should be corrected. Print the file and return to the note blockin Revit and edit the misspelled words. Voilla (after a bit of work). ~Daniel

Revit does have a spell check feature. If you go to Tools it will be under there. As for noteblocks what on earth is that? I wasn't aware of a new feature in Revit.

You can check out the help for Note blocks, or see below. We will probably be using Keynoting instead of note blocks for our sheet notes. ~Daniel Note blocks are schedules that can list all instances of annotations that are members of the Generic Annotation category only. See Creating an Annotation Symbol Family. Note blocks are useful for listing notes that are applied to elements in your project. For example, you might want to attach a note to several walls and that note might have a building description for each of the walls. Revit Building includes two predefined generic annotation families that you can use to tag elements and include in note blocks: keynote.rfa and revision tag.rfa. Both are available in the Annotations folder for Revit Building families. - Load the generic annotation family(ies) into your project and place them where desired. Be sure to enter meaningful information in the parameter values for the annotation. For example, type some comments for the Description parameter.
- On the View menu, click NewNote Block.
- In the New Note Block dialog, select a generic annotation from the family pane, for example a keynote.
- If desired, rename the Note Block in the Note block name text box.
- Click OK.
- From the Note Block Properties dialog, select the parameters in the Available fields: pane you wish to set and then click Add to add them to the Scheduled fields: pane.
- Fill in any information in the additional Note Block properties tabs. For more information about the tabs, see Schedule Properties Tabs.
- Click OK when finished.
