Is there a way to create Room Tags with the room sizes in width X depth, instead of square footage?

Thanks!

You can have a 'dumb' text field that you manually fill-in.  There is no way for Revit to do it automatically.  How would it handle rooms that are not rectangular and have more than four sides?

I've never understood this need either, its just not practical to do?  I think for the bulk of rooms, the area is much more relevant.

Add to the wishlist.... - I suppose in residential work and doing marketing drawings for house plans would be its main use, but realistically I think dumb text is the best solution for something that could be very difficult to calculate for odd shaped rooms...

I use the "dumb field" procedure now as we use it for sales literature for homes, which per room is what people are interested in rather than area. Total area, yes but not per room. However, it would be nice if a hidden dimension parameter could be imbedded into the tag in both 'X' & 'Y' that had manual grips that the width and depth field would read. Anybody know how to do this?
