Hi All, Does anybody know how you change the fire rating parameter in the door family from type to instance when I pick it in the family type editor the modify button remains greyed out. Steve

The Fire Rating in door families supplied by Revit and doors created from the Revit family template in hard coded by the developers as a type paramter. The theory being that if you have two doors one non-rated and one with a 20 Min rating you have two different types of doors. If you want to have an instance based fire rating, then you can add another parameter that you call My Fire rating or something. HTH
