Hi, Can someone please give me some tips on how to speed up my model, The model is around 40MB but consists of a lot of structural beams (500+ per level, 14 floors.) and columns , I have positioned many of the beams using the beam system tool, which works great, Unfortunatly when I need to move or modify a beam or wall etc the model realy hangs, after a few minutes i get a dialog asking telling me to remove coping, cuts on concrete mebers are igonred. Is there a way to convert the floor beams into a family, would this increase the moels performace? any other suigestions would be greatly apreciated. Thanks Anthony

Ok, I may have found a work around, I'm set up a second project and using cut and past I've transfered all my beam systems into the second project. I've then linked this project back into the origional model, so far so good. Anthony
