There is a lot of 3D products being produced in ADT that I would like to import into Revit for rendering purposes. Is there an easy way to do this importing?

I found that the best way to do that was to create a new family for each object. So import the object into the family then load that family into the project. This way you can also add all the parameters to the object that you want.

You can take a 3D DWG and insert it into a family. Many of the OTB (out of the box) Revit families are nothing more than ADT 3D DWG files. Material assingments within Revit are then handled by layer for the DWG objects Settings>Object Styles>Imported Objects>Material HTH
