Is there a way to create floor mounted lights?

you could do either a generic electrical model family or generic model floor based family I would think.

There is a floor based light template on teh Revit content website: http://revit.autodesk.com/library/html/index.html Look under Revit 9.0 US Families>Templates A good practice is to create non-hosted versions of your family then nest into hosted families. This method gets you more hosted family types with one non-hosted family as the master family.

and I'm interested to know how you get the lines in the floor hosted family to be similar to those created in ceiling hosted or lighting fixture families. That is, I'd like them to change line weights per view in sync with the other lighting fixtures.
