How can I create a sweep in all 3 directions. What I'm trying to do is show a roof drain coming out of the ceiling and the path that it travels before it goes through the floor somewhere elese in the building. Sometimes it drops vertically, sometimes it runs parallel to the ceiling....may turn left, may turn right before turning down into the floor. From what I can see...the "path" is only in two directions. Thanks

One thing that you could do is go into your in place family creator and create a sweep that goes in what ever direction that you want it will follow the path that you draw.

I dont know how you can create in place library using 3D path for sweeping as the path is limited into 2D plane (work plane). If it can be done, would you please give some more concrete hint to make path in all 3D directio? Also, I may want to imort a 3D path from other soteware, but revit dont allow me to use that imported path (or profile) to do sweepping. Is there any way to use imported path (profile) when using in place modeling creation?
