Probably the quickest and easiest way to improve rendering quality is to go to Settings -->Radiosity settings-->Quality (change higher ... I use Better)-->Raytrace Settings-->Quality (change higher ... I use Best).  Also change your image size to between 300 & 600.  As to rendering time, in addition to the changes you make to settings and image size, it also depends on how large your rendering is and how much stuff you have in it as to how long it will take.  If it seems like it's taking too long, I usually stop the rendering process and change the settings lower, although I usually don't change the image size below 300.  You just kind of have to play around with it and see what works for you and your individual rendering.  I don't know if this will help you or not ......

You're welcome.  Yes, the speed of your PC will slow down the rendering process, unfortunately  : -)
