Hello, I am working on a multifamily residential pet project. I want to be able to communicate with autocad 2004. Since there are repeated unit types ie. UNIT_A How can I group and repeat units in revit, so that when they are exported as a DWG, the groups end up as BLOCKS in autocad? Is this possible? Can "blocks" be created in revit? crawf

You can create blocks in Revit for use in AutoCAD by creating a family. Any family in a project file that is exported comes into AutoCAD as a block. For the multi-units, you will probably find it easier to export the project and then turn them into blocks rather than creating multi-unit family files.

You could also use linked files, as when exported will also become a block... Ie: create a project for your unit design, then create another project for the campus and link the units into that... (only problem will be if you plan on scheduling in revit...
