Can anyone tell me how to modify Modelling openings or vertical cuts through floors or roofs or if that is not possible is there another, better way to cut out vertical openings that can be modified. An Example: I cut a hole in a floor using the Opening Button on the Modelling tab for an in-slab Church Font and now the Font has changed. When I try to select and modify the opening I can only modify the floor? Thanks

When you place your cursor over the edge of the opening, you need to tab click through to get the opening highlighted. Tab will be your best friend in Revit

Thanks for the help. I also didn't realize that when creating or editing roofs if you draw any shape within the floor or roof it automatically becomes an editable hole. I am not really sure why they even give you that "openings" option!?

they give you different options for openings, such as vertical or perpendicular to the face
