I know this is a really old post but it is the only one I can find that discussed the subject I am looking for. I need to have the hatching for my walls in plan orient to the direction of the wall. bballew talks about align the pattern to an element - can bballew or anybody else tell me how that is done.

Hmm, as you can see this post is nearly 3 years old so things have a changed a little.
For starters I'd now use filters to do this... Its still a bit of a shortfall of Revit.
