Ok.... So Im still having this dilema with my linked revit files not printing the doors and widows on the second floor. i know it has something to with the symbolic lines used to create the window and door familes. symbolic lines only show in the veiw that they are in refernce to. Since they show up on the scrren they should be printing, right? it is very odd that they are only showing up in wireframe or shading veiws. this means that they are being acknowledged right? but where are they when i export to autocad and print? the walls are still cut like theres a door, theres just no lines that make up the door swing, etc.. Someone else has had to run into this same problem, right? If you have I would atleast like to know that im not alone (or crazy) even if you also never figured out how to fix the problem. Also is there some magic revit geru that I can write to that may be able to help me? Thanks, L Ok... So ive decided that my template file was corrupted somehow... i started from scratch with a blank file and my windows and doors show up just fine! so weird! so here we go again from scratch! AHHHHH! oh no, that sucks. I've run into corrupted file once before also. It drives you nuts. Good luck to you.

Keep the file and send it to subscription support at Autodesk so they can ensure these type of upgrade issues get resolved... You may have even got away with just creating a brand new floor plan and see if that resolved the issue. Maybe it was only the view that was corrupt rather than the whole file.

I though it your suggestion worked.... but then i realized that i was mistaken.... blah! So what Im doing is making a completely new template and redoing all the links in brand new projects. Starting over from scratch! Post edited on 2006-10-19 10:33:14
