Revit 7 May have new features but its starting to act like windows 3.1. After 20 min of use the entire program crawls to a hault. Why do properties windows take 5 seconds to load now? Why when changing view preferences (furniture on, furniture off) take more time then rendering a small scene? I do not know, someone at autodesk did not do their homework? Autodesk the new Microsoft? You be the judge.

I haven't got 7 yet, but if it gets quicker if you exit and restart Revit then I suspect the dreaded Memory Leak has reared its head. Bring up the Task Manager and keep an eye on the process's memory usage. If it keeps going up without ever dropping significantly then I would suspect the worst. I hop enot though, because you'd expect the s/w engineers to have checked it before they release it(!!!)

Only download latest version: Revit7.0_20041113_2030.exe. There is no slowdown after a while in this compilation. PS: Redrose was right.

I have heard at AU the first download version of 7.0 has a memory leak, which eventually fills up all of your RAM but has been fixed ....
