I am exporting plans to autocad that are duplexes and each side is a linked file. Is there a way to export where the linked files do not come in as blocks. and that they are xrefed like in a regular (no links) file. The blocks cause problems cuz they mess up all the colors of the layers. the layers are named right and show that they should be the right colors, but then theve been overide with a new color. Weird! Any ideas would be greatly appreciated! Ok... so i figured out that i need to set the linked files settings to linked veiw to get the colors to be right.... but i'm still stunped on the xref thing instead of a block Post edited on 2006-10-16 15:55:23

Any thoughts on this issue? In a large project with many revit links (in lieu of groups) Revit is making a dwg xref for each link. Hundreds! It is crashing now...

So...there is a little option for "xref views on sheets" or something like that. I unchecked it, and it no longer made all my revit links into xrefs. (even though I wasn't exporting sheets, just model views, it worked)
