i'm working on an irregular perimeter roof, no way to design as i want it... see .pdf please help Post edited on 2006-10-11 10:15:09

Instead of creating it as one roof make each plane a single roof. This may take some time to do it but you will be able to achive what you want.

well, from what I see, you cannot make it separate planes and this is why: your span on your roof is not parallel with each other and you'd like to have the same ridge line to make it level wih the world. What I see is that you are going to have a twisted roof face on the two sides. You will end up with, say, a 6/12 on one end and a 12/12 on the other (I'm obviously just making those numbers up) I have seen it in the documentation that comes with Revit, but for some reason I can't seem to locate it. I'm thinking it's a mass>blend command. Or if you have the capabilities of another program, a nurb surface will do it too. Sorry I couldn't be more help.

what could be done is make the roof as a full rectangle so that the ridge is parallel to the horizontal plane (level plane)...then, take of the un necessary segment by making it as a roof opening... try it, this should work.
