I am trying to tag windows with a window tag (TYPE MARK) and I cannot seem to be able to tag the windows in the Legend - this seems very strange that you cannot identify the windows in a legend with the same tag that is located on the plan or elevations - Does anyone know how to do this?

i have had to create a "by instance" tag identical to the "by type" tag. you can then drop in the tag under the corresponding window, but you have to manually change each number. i think it has something to do with itemization and counting. to do the legend, it doesnt count the window type mark in its count, therefor the program doesnt recognize it as a specific type. a little backwards, but nothing is perfect right?

I have found when creating a door schedule/legend that I need to elevate a door within the project and adjust visibility/crop region in the view to achieve the results I am looking for. Then you could easily tag the door or window accurately. The only problem with this approach is if the door or window you have used for your legend changes. Hope this helps.
