I have a house that I just added a large patio and now it falls off the sheet. So instead of moving everything to a larger sheet, I thought it would be easy to simply do a match line and show it on a different sheet. So I did a copy of the first floor plan and renamed it to be called patio. Then I used the crop region to only show what I want to show of the patio. The problem is I can see text and room names outside of my window. So when I put it onto the new sheet, it's has all this extra stuff.
How do I split up a drawing correctly?

I think that you have split it correctly. It sound right anyway. The room tags are view specific. So, if you have room tags showing up off of the crop region you can just delete them. They show up because the center of your room space is within your crop region. Just delete them (the tags) in the view that you don't want to see them in.
