I have created several 2d drafting details in revit that I would like to insert into the drawing set. and key them on the plan.... how do I do that?

Attached is the rfa file.. the text will not display when inserted into a project. only the line work

Jerome, Here is what I found. I couldn't find anything that would allow the text from the detail family to show up in the project. So what I did is placed the detail component into the project, then copied the text and dimensions seperately into the view with the detail component. I know that sucks.. but that's the only way I got it to work. If anyone else has a better way to do this, please let us know. Thanks and best of luck!

To confirm what rkitect said, text drawn in a detail component in the family editor cannot appear in a project file when inserted into the project. Sorry that I don't know a better way to do it.

You need to make use of Revits detail library. Once you've got the view setup the way you want you can save the view out as its own file for later use in another project. HTH.
