Can anyone let me know if there is a divide command for revit or something that allows me to segment a line. I'm trying to arraysomething on a eliptical pattern but revit doesn't seem to allow that so I need something like the divide command to give centerpoints to snap to Post edited on 2006-10-05 09:01:36

Unfortunately, there is only the split tool, to my knowledge. When you say array do you mean using the array tool or manually placing the elements? I don't think the array tool will let you use an eliptical path for an array. I could be wrong though. Let us know how it turns out.

You fell victim to one of the classic blunders. The most famous is never get involved in a land war in asia, but only slightly less well known is this! Never go in against a Sicilian when death is on the line!

it won't i can't understand why two autodesk programs wouldn't share the same commands. Maybe they can think about doing that in build 10.

Sorry for the late reply, hope you've figured it out by now.  If not, it looks like you're looking for a way to snap to the center of the ellipse.  Try typing 'SC' when you're ready to snap to center.  Then hover around the area of the center of the ellipse, it should find it.
