Please! If anyone knows how to fi this problem, I would greatly appreciate it: When I export in EITHER DWG or DXF the doors in all of my linked files dissappear. All layers are on in AutoCAD, and there is no obvious explanation except that this program is faulty. Please prove me wrong.

You need to supply more information.  How is the path name set up for the linked file.? Could that be the issue as described on the previous linked post?

Did you check the create one file option?

Thank you for your reply! The linked file name is Existing Site Layout with masked proposed building area.dwg...if that effects things by being too long? I have now tried DXF and that worked much better (I am using 2000 versions of both DWG and DXF as this is what my consultants need to work from) - the creat one file options sounds good, where do I find that?

Many thanks

G

What I should have said was to check the box exporting each view as a single file.  Then you don't have a file with everthing x-ref'd in.  Problem is that I think linked files may still be x-ref'd ... not sure.  I know image files remain linked.

The problem with the pathing is not just the file name but the path name length.
