New to the program....is there some way to automatically extend the shed roof of a dormer to the main roof? i can't seem to do this or get an opening to cut out for the dormer.

before trying to do any real projects and expecting real results you should go through the tutorials. click help>tutorials. i think to cut the opening for the dormer you click opening on the design bar then i think it pops up and asks what the opening is for and you select dormer. the tutorials will also explain how to join roofs. if i was at my cad comp i could tell you how to do it; i havent done it enough to remember the exact steps, but its not hard.
