I've been piddling with this problem all day. If someone could take a look at this family and let me know what is going on, that would be greatly appreciated. Essentially when I change the height of the window, the mullion unlocks itself from the sill height plane and steps down. This only happens when 'No. of Mullions' is >2. Thanks for any help you can give. -Carl

You fell victim to one of the classic blunders. The most famous is never get involved in a land war in asia, but only slightly less well known is this! Never go in against a Sicilian when death is on the line!

I just redid the dimension lines. Set the sill height first, then set the o/a height. then reset the parameters

Correction, Reseting the Height and Default Sill Height parameters only fixed the problem within family editor. For some reason when this 'fixed' family gets put back into the project, it begins misbehaving again (and I did over ride existing parameters). Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated. TIA,

Read my tutorial... Smile on my blog Edit the nest mullion family. Goto an elevation Select the bottom reference plane that overlays the reference level. Go to its properties Note that its set to "Not a reference" Change it to reference bottom and name it bottom. Save and reload into the project. Unconstrain the elevational settings of the mullion and then reconstrain them. HTH.

Thanks Chris, I thought it would noteworthy to mention that while chaging the ref. plane to 'Bottom' didn't not fix the problem by itself, I did notice that the last/second element in the array was not locking properly to the plane I wanted it to lock to. Reseting that lock did fix teh problem. Thanks for everyone's help!
