Hello All I am working in my model and realized that one of my grid lines has been deleted from one of my plan views. Not sure how this happened. When I try to copy and paste in the grid line from another view, it automatically re-numbers the bubble to the next highest number in order. What am I missing here? Please advise, Thanks BS

I would like to hear others input on this subject. I had the same problem a couple of days ago. I went to a view where the grid line was still present and right-clicked on it. Then I clicked Maximize 3D Extents. It kind of messed up the length of the line, but it did show back up in all views. Then, I had to go back and place the ends of that line would match the others. It's a little bit of work, but it did solve the problem. Does anyone have a better idea? ArchWestCY

Grids cannot be copied from other views as they are a universal component in the revit model. What most likely happened is that it did not get "deleted" but rather you lost the visability of the grid. The first thing to check is that the grid intersects your plan view. Go to an elevation and make sure it goes up in 3D to intersect your plan. You can also check your other views and make sure that yur grid is set to 3D and maximize its 3D extents. Also check to make sure you did not "hide annotation in view" If you hover over where the grid should be in the view and you see a grid line highlite, then right click and select "show annotation in view" HTH Tom

Cool, that's a lot easier than what I had to do. My grids did not show up when I hovered. I did look for them that way. ArchWestCY

I Suggest having a good read up on datums in the help menu. Once you understand exactly how they operate and display they are really quite simple and straight forward.
