I am in charge of a project in revit where on the site there are going to be 5 buildings, some type II and some type V. is it possible to create the CD's from the linked site file, or do the CD's have to be create in their own respected building model files? the reason for this is I would like to have all the sheets in the same drawing package for the project, and some buildings will have the same details, so instead of creating a drawing package for each building and duplicating details, I want to create them from the site model that hosts the buildings and use revits advantages. I tried creating a sheet in a building model, but it didn't show up in the linked site model. is there a way to create sheets in a building mode filel, link it to the site model, and organize it with other building sheets? would i have to create all the views and details in the site file for all the buildings?

It is possible to link annotated setup floor plans into the site host file using the visibility settings. However, in your elevations/sections you will be unable to tag or use any of the revit smarts on linked files... (really wish this was possible). Sheets cannot be shown from linked files either, which has been requested. This prevents all documentation being done in the site file. As such i'd generally do as much in each individual building file as possible and if the tagging issue isn't going to effect the details then i'd do them in the site file as well. Views that show the relationship between each of the buildings would obviously also be done within the site file. Annoying I know, but limitations on links still prevent campus projects being seemless. HTH.
