Does any one know if there are wood framed walls in revit or do you have to make them yourself, and if so how do you do it. I just started using the program a few days ago so I am not that up to speed with things. Help is appreciated.

I am new to revit also and work in the post frame industry. I am looking for a wall system that has a steel cover, wood wall girts, and wood columns. If you recieve any information to help you it would be appreciated if you could pass it along.

you create a 2D overlay for the framing members.. just go to DGCAD.com and the free video tells you all about it..

I suggest you go through the inbuilt tutorials in revit on setting up wall types. If you're wanting to actually show the framing of the wall then one option would be to use curtain walls with the panel set to empy system panel or to use the structural framing tools... Ideally you wouldn't model them for any larger project. HTH.
