I'm trying to dreaw an octagonal roof (bavarian castle themed) the roof was drawn in cad and looks fine but I can't get revit to handle the three pitch design and have all the edges meet at 15'-6" above the start point althoug I insert the correct piichs to alow the desired hieght. Instead I get somthing that looks more like a multi pitch roof for a mud hut. Does anyone have advice?

Try drawing one section of the roof. Then array it around to the other sides. Also instead of using the "defines slope" check box, try using the slope arrow. You may even need to draw each pitch seperatly and then join roof before arraying it around.

Akccrox, I think ArchWest has ok suggestions, but those should be last resort. An octagonal roof should be quite easy via footprint. Try making a level for just the roof plate first. Then with a 0'-0" offset from that level for all elements, draw the roof with all the same pitches. Complete the roof, then go back and edit it. This time, change the pitches to what you want. Revit sometimes assumes certain elevation changes depending on the order in which you draw. So it's good to get a clean start.
